The GLUCKSMAN Little Interview

This week we hear from the curatorial team at Pluck Projects, Rachel Warriner and Sarah Kelleher, Designer who are presenting New Work from Glasgow in the Windle Building, UCC until 29th November.

Pluck Projects: 20 November 2015

What are you reading?
R: I'm currently trying to finish my PhD thesis, so only work books. Currently, Conversation Pieces by Grant Kester. S: For fun Mina Loy's Insel, but for work The Object edited by Anthony Hudeck.

Favourite museum?
R: That's hard. I was in New York recently and was very excited by the new Whitney S:Thyssen Bornemisza Museum in Madrid, it's like a helter-skelter of Western art history.

Best performance?
R: I saw Forced Entertainment's Quizoola when I was in college and it very much influenced me then. S: Bjork's last night of the Biophilia tour, she is amazing.

What is your most treasured possession?
R: I got a present of a work by Angela Fulcher recently which I'm very very fond of. S:My tent teepee and my Grandad's dictionary from 1922.

What work(s) of art inspire you?
R: I didn't know how to narrow it down so I decided to go with something I saw recently. I really liked Sarah Sze's installation at Tanya Bondakdar S: Louise Bourgeois' Red Rooms in the Pompidou Centre - they were amazing to see.

A lightbulb moment?
R: Not sure I've ever had one, my realisations tend to be slow! S: In my driving lesson today I realised that you need to do two full revolutions of the steering wheel in order to correct after a sharp left turn.

Guilty pleasure?
Reading facebook comments and getting exorcised by them S: Dance films, particularly sequels.

What would you like to be doing right now?
R&S: Right at this moment we are both very happy doing what we're doing - invigilating our show, New Work from Glasgow in the Windle Building, UCC.
