Art Club Senior: Painting the Pantry
Our Senior Community programme is dedicated to involving seniors in
all kinds of activities in the gallery with an emphasis on social, fun and
creative encounters. Through courses, tours, concerts and screenings,
this programme is a reminder that art is an ongoing passion.
In Spanish Art a bodegón is a still life painting set in a kitchen or pantry
that depicts game, drinks, and other types of food. This season we are
inviting Art Club Seniors to create a still life painting of a Cork kitchen
focusing on the food products and drinks that are unique to the county.
Starting from the early preparatory drawings right through to the
finishing touches you’ll be guided by artist Kevin Mooney in the
techniques to create a finished oil painting.
