Opening Hours

“Set at the edge of University College Cork in a striking modern steel and limestone building, the Glucksman art gallery hosts contemporary exhibitions and installations by national and international artists.

The museum also focuses on educational pursuits, offering children’s art classes, curatorial tours and talks with artists, and has its own restaurant and cafe... the Glucksman Gallery is three floors of warm, dry entertainment.”

This season, the GLUCKSMAN invites you to explore the wonder and majesty of the ocean with our new exhibitions Now Wakes the Sea and Deep Maps. These shows look at the ways in which the sea both inspires and intrigues, taking you on a voyage from the coastlines of Ireland to the unknown depths of the ocean. Our thematic programme of workshops and courses offer you the chance to dive into the ideas and artworks from the exhibitions.

We’re also pleased to once again take part in Heritage Week and Culture Night with maritime-themed events that offer you imaginative ways to explore the harbour and seafaring culture of Cork. As ever, from tours that showcase the UCC Art Collection to hands-on workshops in painting and printmaking, there are all kinds of opportunities to discover your creative side at the Glucksman.

We were thrilled to be awarded 2016 Digital Marketing Champion by Cork Chamber and hope you will stay in touch with us online. You can find out more about our artistic programme by downloading our current brochure, liking us on, by following us on twitter @glucksman, on instagram @theGlucksman or just by dropping in to say hello!

We look forward to welcoming you.
