Opening Hours

“Set at the edge of University College Cork in a striking modern steel and limestone building, the Glucksman art gallery hosts contemporary exhibitions and installations by national and international artists.

The museum also focuses on educational pursuits, offering children’s art classes, curatorial tours and talks with artists, and has its own restaurant and cafe... the Glucksman Gallery is three floors of warm, dry entertainment.”

This season at the GLUCKSMAN we explore how public collections can be presented in different ways. DOUBLE TAKE: Collections and Context takes a look back in time, recreating ambitious installations from previous GLUCKSMAN exhibitions and displaying them alongside works by the artists held in the UCC Art Collection.

Our new education project is another imaginative use of our collection. The Classroom Museum loans artworks to Cork primary schools so that young students can find out more about art and artists in their own places of learning.

This season, we are also pleased to collaborate with Cork Photo Month, National Drawing Day, Cork Choral Festival, Bealtaine Festival and Cork Midsummer inviting participants of all ages to make and enjoy art. We also have a busy programme of public talks and performances, as well as art clubs, schools workshops, and community events

You can find out more about our artistic programme by downloading our current brochure, liking us on, by following us on twitter @glucksman, on instagram @theGlucksman or just by dropping in to say hello!

We look forward to welcoming you.
