Opening Hours

“Set at the edge of University College Cork in a striking modern steel and limestone building, the Glucksman art gallery hosts contemporary exhibitions and installations by national and international artists.

The museum also focuses on educational pursuits, offering children’s art classes, curatorial tours and talks with artists, and has its own restaurant and cafe... the Glucksman Gallery is three floors of warm, dry entertainment.”

This season, the GLUCKSMAN invites you to get a taste for contemporary art and cutting edge science. Our new exhibition Gut Instinct: Art, food and feeling explores how food influences our emotional states, drawing on research by John Cryan, Professor and Chair, Anatomy and Neuroscience, UCC, and his colleagues at the APC Microbiome Institute, on the relationship between microbes and mood.

WIth the support of Science Foundation Ireland, we are offering a menu of fascinating art/science talks and workshops, and a dedicated symposium looking at the art and science of eating. As ever, we offer creative activities for all ages and abilities including art classes, schools workshops, curatorial tours and community events. Read more about our education programmes here.

We were thrilled to be awarded 2016 Digital Marketing Champion by Cork Chamber and hope you will stay in touch with us online.

You can find out more about our artistic programme by downloading our current brochure, liking us on, by following us on twitter @glucksman, on instagram @theGlucksman or just by dropping in to say hello!

We look forward to welcoming you.
